Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

As of September 30, (1146) people are now confirmed killed by this junta coup. Today there were no confirmed fallen heroes. This is the number verified by AAPP, the actual number of fatalities is likely much higher. We will continue adding as and when.
As of September 30, a total of (6921) people are currently under detention. (312) people have been sentenced in person, of them 26 have been sentenced to death (incl. 2 children). 1989 are evading arrest warrants. 118 people have been sentenced in absentia, of them 39 sentenced to death in absentia. In total 65 sentenced to death, in person and absentia. We are also continuing to verify the recently released detainees.
Ye Khaung Nyunt, a National League for Democracy (NLD) MP for Rakhine State’s Gwa Township, Lu Ni a.k.a Soe Hlaing, a former administrator for Gwa Township’s Myoma Ward, and Aung Soe Min, living in Gwa Township, were all arrested by terrorist junta troops in February, for staging a protest against the attempted coup. On September 27, they were sentenced to imprisonment. Ye Khaung Nyunt was sentenced to two years imprisonment under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code and three months imprisonment under Section 30(a) of the Natural Disaster Management Law. Lu Ni was sentenced to two years imprisonment under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code. Aung Soe Min was sentenced to five months imprisonment under Section 30(a) of the Natural Disaster Management Law.
Nay Win, who is a policeman involved in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), was arrested by terrorist junta troops on the night of September 29, while he was drinking tea at a tea shop in Pauk Town in Magway Region.
